Local car manufacturer Perodua, recorded a total sales figure of 26,852 units for the month of October, making it the company’s highest-ever monthly performance throughout its 27-year history. The high demands have led to Perodua contributing RM 600 million to the Nation’s economy through its purchasing of parts and components from local automotive vendors and suppliers.
“This milestone is important to us in many ways; it underscores our commitment towards delivering our vehicles to their rightful owners as fast as possible while at the same time doing our part to rejuvenate the automotive eco-system.”, said Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad, Perodua President and CEO.
Sales figures of 8,052 Myvis, 6,738 Axias, 6,895 Bezzas, 3,193 Aruz and 1,974 Alzas contributed to the October’s market performance of Perodua. The Myvi, Axia and Bezza remains at the top spot as best-selling cars in their respective segments.
In terms of Perodua’s production capacity, Dato’ Zainal explained that the company is averaging at 98% - with assembly occurring in the local carmaker’s manufacturing facilities in Sungai Choh.
Perodua’s latest achievement comes after it recorded an all-time monthly sales record of 25,035 units in September 2020.
Moving forward, Dato’ Zainal said that Perodua will leverage on value offerings, high-quality products and aftersales services to continue meeting the demands and needs of their customers.
