Today, Perodua is set to launch its first 7-seater SUV, the Aruz.
Not only it will be priced affordably at RM72,200 for the 1.5 X and RM77,200 for the 1.5 Advance (AV), the Aruz will also showcase Perodua’s latest technology.
Equipped with six airbags and Advanced Safety Assist 2.0 (ASA 2.0), it is an upgrade from the same system found in the current Myvi 1.5 Advance variant.
The ASA 2.0 will now be able to detect pedestrian, which makes the Aruz the only vehicle in its price range to be able to do so.
ASA 2.0 consists of:
Pre-collision braking - A form of autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system that takes over the brake functionality of the vehicle when an impeding crash is detected. - Improved from 30km/h to 80km/h
Pre-collision warning - A safety feature that alerts the driver then the system detects the possibility of a crash. - Improved maximum range from 4-30km/h to 4-100km/h
The ASA 2.0’s pedestrian detection system is capable of detecting the presence of pedestrians up to a maximum speed of 50km/h.
The front departure alert and pedal misoperation control remains unchanged and will continue to be featured in the Perodua Aruz’s ASA2.0 safety feature.
The Perodua Aruz with a 1.5L engine and 4-speed automatic transmission is already opened for booking and will be officially launched later tonight at 8.00 pm.
Wait for more updates and videos from us later at the launch.
